STAMFORD, Conn. - Robert Charles Jacino of Stamford died Oct. 16. He was 82.
Jacino was born on Sept. 2, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Patrick and Sarah. He earned his Bachelors of Science in chemical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He attended Yale University, earning a Master's of Science degree. He worked as a chemical engineer at Pfizer, Inc. in Groton and then as a director of International Operations at Abbott Labs. In later years, he worked for John Brown Engineering on global construction projects. He was a current resident of Stamford, and formerly of Darien, Westport and Groton and Lake Bluff, Ill.
Jacino is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; children, Mary Kathleen (Derron) Saffold of Aurora, Ill.; Robert Peter (Cheryl) of Dublin, Ohio; Michael Thomas (Lisa) of Titusville, N.J.; Mark Patrick (Lisa) of Aurora, Ill; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Willie; and sister, Marie.
Private services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home in Darien.
