DARIEN, Conn. - Rose S. Papp “Dolly”, a life-long resident of Darien, died Monday, Sept. 30. She was 92.
Papp was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Darien, daughter of James and Rose (Conti) Bruno. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas More R.C. Church in Darien.
Papp is survived by her children, Joseph J. Papp, Jr., Richard Papp (Bonnie), Robert Papp and Marianne Reynolds (Jerry); six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Tessy Sniffen and Mary Fracola. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Joseph J. Papp Sr.; and siblings, Augustus Bruno, Benjamin Bruno, Joseph Bruno, Lizzy Journalist, Josephine Lombardo and Chiva Penna.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home , 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
