Sheilah Tilbrooke Cloud, Darien Resident

DARIEN, Conn. — Darien resident Sheilah Tilbrooke Cloud died on Monday, May 2. 

A native of London, Cloud immigrated to the United States with her mother following her father's death.

She graduated from Noroton Sacred Heart School in Darien and later attended business school in England. 

Before her marriage, Cloud worked for the United Nations in London and the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Rome, Italy. 

She later worked in programming for the CBS Television Network in New York City. 

After her marriage, Cloud was associated with Conoco Oil Co. in Stamford. 

She was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Darien and was a Eucharistic Minister. 

She was also a member of the Wee Burn Country Club, and sang with the Blue Notes singing group for 35 years. 

Cloud was predeceased by her husband, James H. Cloud; and her parents, Harold Ernest Tilbrooke and Margaret Chisholm Tilbrooke.

Cloud is survived by a stepson, John K. Cloud; a stepdaughter, Catharine LeVasseur; and six grandchildren, a nephew, Michael Tilbrooke; and numerous cousins in Australia. 

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien, on Saturday May 14 at 12:30 p.m. 

Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien, CT 06820 or Sacred Heart Alumnae, 1 E. 91st St., New York, NY 10128. 

After the service, a reception will be held at the Wee Burn Country Club.
