DARIEN, Conn. – William Robert Golden Jr., of Darien, died Wednesday, Oct. 21. He was 68.
Golden was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Everett, Mass. to William Robert and Edna Hahesy Golden.
He graduated from Boston College High School in 1964 and Boston College in 1968 before enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served for three years.
After his service, he graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, becoming a partner at Kelley Drye and Warren LLP for 27 years.
Golden was predeceased by his parents and his sister Susan.
He is survived by his wife Katharine, three children, Katharine Wasnick and her husband Rob of New York City; William III and his wife Leslie of Alexandria, Va.; and Elizabeth Jones and her husband Huw of London, England; four sisters, Janet Allen and her husband Edward; Christine Cardalisco and her husband Patrick; Therese; and Audrey Mancuso and her husband Frank; and his four grandchildren.
A wake will be conducted from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien.
Interment will follow at Mather Cemetery in Darien.
