She was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Canada to the late Gordon and Wanda Caldwell.
Zanggrillo was a charter member of the Country Club of Darien, a member at the Metropolitan Club in New York, Silver Spring Country Club in Ridgefield, and the Mid Ocean Club in Bermuda. She was an accomplished athlete, having won several tennis, platform tennis and golf tournaments at the Country Club of Darien. Zangrillo also was a member of the Daughters of the British Empire charity organization. She also volunteered with the Children's Aid Society and the Darien Community Association.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Stephen Frank Zangrillo, who passed away July 8, 2015, and her sister Barbara.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Jr. and his wife Pam, her son Anthony and his wife Gina; her daughters Stephanie and Gina; her six grandchildren, Stephen III and his wife Danielle, Gregory Reilly, Nicholas Neville, Douglas Reilly, Samantha Neville, Allison Reilly; and her great granddaughter, Lilliana.
