To the editor:
I applaud Gov. Malloy for his strong leadership through difficult times. He led our economic recovery as reflected in steady decline in unemployment while reducing government spending in certain areas, eliminating a $3.7 billion budget deficit inherited in 2010, managing the debt burden and adding to the Rainy Day Fund.
Gov. Malloy has continued his firm commitment to education in Darien through the Education Cost Sharing grant. Following his sensitive response to the people of Sandy Hook, the governor increased funding for mental health services.
By such leadership, Malloy has earned our vote for re-election.
