To the editor:
I am happy to support incumbent Jayme Stevenson for another term as First Selectman. Jayme and I have worked together as co-chairs of the DHS PTO and on The Community Fund’s Human Resources Planning Council.
Jayme has many qualities that make her a great leader. She has the ability to thoughtfully consider tough issues and the decisiveness to make the best decision to move forward. Jayme is a strategic thinker and considers long-term implications before setting a course of action.
Perhaps Jayme's most impressive quality, however, is her ability to be a collaborative leader. She works effectively with peers and state and federal officials, regardless of partisanship. She has amassed a wealth of knowledge of local and state issues.
She and her Darien First team have a vision for our town. With her talent and experience, we are lucky she is willing to continue to lead our town.
