To the editor:
We strongly support the nomination of Kathy Larkins for the position of Town Tax Collector. We have known Kathy both personally and professionally for nearly a decade.
Kathy volunteered as the database manager or more accurately "controller" for a non for profit organization where we both served in senior positions. During this time we noted Kathy's dedication and professionalism in processing sensitive financial information.
Kathy works tirelessly to get the job done no matter how big or small. She shows great attention to detail and has a calm and steady demeanor which makes working with her a joy. Her integrity is beyond reproach.
Kathy is currently serving as the Interim Town Tax Collector and has the strong support of those working with her. Please join us in supporting Kathy Larkins for Town Tax Collector on November 5th. Your vote can make a difference.

To the editor:
In July, the Republican Town Committee endorsed Kathy Larkins as their candidate for the Darien Tax Collector in the upcoming election. Kathy, the interim Darien Tax Collector, returned to the workforce November 2011 after years of volunteering for organizations including The Middlesex Club, Darien YMCA Piranha Swim Team, Fairfield County Swim League, and the Holmes PTO, to name just a few.
Kathy’s attention to detail, accounting background and sound financial skills made her an integral part of the Middlesex Club Executive Committee while I was President. She is a proven team player, with a great sense of humor and a very positive disposition.
In addition to her passing the CPA exam, Kathy has successfully completed two of the four courses required to be a Certified Connecticut Municipal Collector. With your vote on Nov. 5, Kathy will continue to serve the taxpayers of Darien, with her experience, integrity and knowledge.
