90-Year-Old Darien Man Killed In Car Crash

DARIEN, Conn. — A 90-year-old Darien man died in a two-car collision in Wallingford on Sunday evening, according to NBC Connecticut.

Edward Carabillo of Darien was traveling west on Northfield Road at about 6:40 p.m. when he went to turn left onto South Colony Road/Route 5, according to NBC Connecticut. 

Carabillo's Audi collided with a Nissan Titan pickup truck headed north on South Colony, police told NBC Connecticut.  

Carabillo's passenger, 82-year-old Natalie Einson, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; and the 69-year-old driver of the Nissan suffered only minor injuries, NBC Connecticut said.

The fatal crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Wallingford Police Department at 203-294-2817.
