Bridgeport Pair Charged In 2014 Westport Home Burglary

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport police arrested two Bridgeport residents in connection with the burglary of a Riverfield Drive home last July in which a large amount of jewelry was taken.

Edward Santos, 24, and Raisa Santos, 22, were each charged first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. 

The arrests stemmed from a burglary that occurred July 7, 2014, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary and larceny at a home on Riverfield Drive, where a large amount of jewelry had been stolen, police said. Through the investigation, the Detective Bureau determined that the two had sold jewelry stolen in the burglary to a pawn shop, according to police reports. Warrants were issued for their arrests.

Riasa Santos was arrested April 8 while appearing at Bridgeport Superior Court. Edward Santos was arrested Monday, April 20, while appearing at Norwalk Superior Court.
