As things return to normal in Darien following three Nor'easters, car burglars are back in action and police are reminding residents to lock their cars.

Darien police said over the past few nights, several unlocked cars have been burglarized and two cars with the keys in it were stolen.

Police say that most criminals will move on if a car is locked because they don't want to make noise breaking a window to get inside. But unlocked cars, especially those with valuables, make it easy for the practice to continue, especially in areas where residents feel they don't need to lock their vehicles.

Darien police said: "Please lock your cars, remove or hide valuables, and do not leave keys behind."
