The resident said that the car was entered during the overnight hours of Aug. 13 to Aug. 14, police said.
When he went to the vehicle in the morning, the resident saw the glove box was open, police said. Initially, he thought he may have left it open and didn’t report it to police.
But later that day, a neighbor found his briefcase in her yard, police said. The briefcase had been in the vehicle, and a laptop was missing from it, police said.
A neighborhood search was conducted, with no results. The investigation is continuing, police said.
