Darien Police To Hold Two Sobriety Checkpoints

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Police Department  will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Hoyt Street in the area of Middlesex Road beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, and continuing into the early morning hours of Friday, July 26.

The Darien police will work in conjunction with Stamford Police and State Police. 

Motorists will be stopped and asked a series of questions to determine whether additional sobriety testing is required. Disruption to the motorist public will be minimal.

An additional checkpoint will also be conducted with Stamford Police on Tokeneke Road in the area of Old Farm Road begining at 9 p.m. Friday July 26, and continuing into the early morning hours of Saturday, July 27.
