Darien Police Remind Dog Owners: Get A License Or Face Fines

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Police department is reminding residents that infractions will be issued for unlicensed dogs beginning Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Licenses are to be renewed through the Town Clerk’s Office by June 30 of each year and are valid for the through June 30 of the following year.

All dogs over the age of 6 months need to be registered with the town in which they reside by taking the dog's rabies certificate (paper document) to the Town Clerk’s Office with the appropriate fee.

Owners who do not comply with the dog licensing regulations will be fined $75 per dog.
