Anne Curtis, 32, was charged Tuesday with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held on $1,000 bond and will appear in court on May 16.
Seven used syringes have been found on the grounds of Holmes School over the past several days, police said. Curtis lives on Hoyt Street adjacent to Holmes School and shares the same driveway and parking lot.
Several days ago, officers recovered a used syringe and several items associated with narcotics in Curtis's home, and a warrant was secured for her arrest, police said. An investigation is ongoing to determine whether there is a link between the syringe found in her home and the ones found on Holmes property, police said.
Police warn residents not to touch discarded hypodermic needles that they find in public areas. If you find one, contact the police and an officer will come pick it up and dispose of it properly.
