The residents of a home on Coachlamp Lane told police that they left their home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, and returned at 11:15 p.m. to find that the rear sliding door had been smashed.

There was glass all over the living room floor, police said.

The residents checked the house and found that the master bedroom had been ransacked, police said. Other bedrooms in the house had also been searched through, police said.

Nothing appeared to have been taken, and several high-value possessions were left behind.

Police said the perpetrators may have been looking for something specific. The break-in remains under investigation.
