The couple are separated and on Feb. 4 he called his wife 21 times on the home phone and 27 times on her cell phone in a 24-hour period, Sgt. Simon Blanc said.

Police were called that day and when they arrived at the woman's Stamford home the man is alleged to have called again and this time spoke with an officer. The man's attitude didn't improve, Blanc said, as he allegedly threatened to "come over there and kick her ass and kick the officer's ass too."
