Charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, interfering with an officer and second-degree threatening was Alexander L. Hartley, of 10 Snowberry Lane, New Canaan.

He was released on $500 bond and his first scheduled court date is Oct. 14.

Police said they were called to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident just before 5 p.m. Oct. 5 in the area of Park and Cherry streets.
