New Canaan Police Continue To Investigate Party Where Teen Was Injured

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Police are continuing to investigate a youth party in New Canaan in which a 17-year-old reportedly suffered a fractured skull and a concussion, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The party in question took place on Saturday, March 25 at a home on Oenoke Ridge Road, according to police. Police initially announced that the male teen had been seriously injured and transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

Police said that they expect to make an arrest in the case, the New Canaan Advertiser reported. Sources told the New Canaan Advertiser that police are looking at the amount of time that passed between when the teen was injured and when emergency services were called. The injured teen was reportedly on the floor with blood flowing from his head, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. 

Police are also looking into whether the parents of the party's host knew that the party was happening, and who purchased the alcohol for the party, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. Several youths at the party are on New Canaan High School athletic teams, the New Canaan Advertiser reported.
