DARIEN, Conn. – A Norwalk man was arrested on suspicion of marijuana sales during a traffic stop in Darien last week, according to police reports.
An officer on patrol stopped a car on Mansfield Road on Oct. 9 after a license plate reader showed that its registration had expired, police said. While talking to the driver, the officer smelled burnt marijuana coming from the car, according to the police report.
Christopher Tuccinardi, 20, of Fillow Street in Norwalk turned over bongs and a metal grinder with marijuana residue when questioned by the officer, police said. When pressed further he also handed over a plastic container with three bags of marijuana, a scale and a set of empty plastic bags, according to the report.
The total amount of marijuana was more than two ounces, police said. Tuccinardi also admitted to selling marijuana in Norwalk, according to the arrest report.
Tuccinardi was charged with possession of marijuana, sale of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond, and is due in court on Oct. 21.
