Norwalk Man Charged With DWI In New York

NORWALK, Conn. -- A Rowayton man was arrested by New York State Police on charges of driving while intoxicated in Ramapo, N.Y.

Frederick O. Schweizer Jr., 65, was arrested on drunken-driving charges on I-87 in New York State.

On Friday, Aug. 28, troopers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 87 on a suspected traffic violation, police said. The driver, Frederick O. Schweizer Jr., 65, of Rowayton, was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Schweizer's blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.10 percent, police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Schweizer is scheduled to appear in Town of Ramapo Court on Oct. 1.
