Police told the Hour that Kristjan Duhanaj, 26, had gone to the Frank Street home of Joseph Oboy, 51, on Saturday afternoon with his girlfriend to pick up their dog. Duhanaj stayed in the car and repeatedly honked his horn, which angered Oboy, the Hour reported. When Duhanaj and his girlfriend were driving away, he made an obscene gesture at Oboy, who took a hammer out of his truck and waved it at Duhanaj, according to the Hour.
Duhanaj then turned around, drove over a lawn and tried to run down Oboy, according to the Hour. Oboy threw the hammer at Duhanaj's windshield, then went to his truck in an attempt to pursue, according to the Hour.
A woman convinced Oboy not to get in his truck, but then Duhanaj returned and drove toward them, the Hour reported. Oboy was hit in the leg, and the woman suffered minor injuries as well, police told the Hour. Duhanaj was arrested at a nearby parking lot, the Hour reported.
Duhanaj was charged with five counts of first-degree assault, two counts of evading responsibility, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree threatening. Oboy was charged with second-degree threatening.
