Michael Williams was arrested at about 5:30 a.m. after police executed a search and seizure warrant at his home, police said. Williams is a suspect in several drug deals, including some allegedly out of his home, and had been under investigation for a couple of months, said Lt. Jim Walsh.
While searching his home, police found an undisclosed amount of crack cocaine, powdered cocaine and marijuana, in addition to a handgun and three rifles, police said. Williams is a convicted felon, police said, and is not permitted to own firearms, police said.
Besides the narcotics found in the home, police believe Williams may have also flushed additional narcotics down the toilet as officers entered the home because they found traces of it strewn around the bathroom, police said.
Williams was charged with a host of narcotics and criminal possession of a weapon charges. He posted $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on June 6.
