One-Car Crash Takes Out Pole, Wires In Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. — A one-car crash in Greenwich took out a utility pole and pulled down wires on Sunday morning, according to Greenwich firefighters.

The accident scene was on Zaccheus Mead Lane at Fox Run Lane, Greenwich Fire said via Twitter. 

The crash occurred before 9 a.m. Sunday, firefighters said. Motorists were urged to use caution in that area.

Firefighters reported that the pole and wires were on fire, but everyone had been removed from the vehicle.

Zaccheus Mead Lane was closed between Meadow Lane and Winding Lane due the crash, Greenwich Dispatch reported.
