Parts Of Darien's Sedgwick Avenue To Close For Tree Removal

DARIEN, Conn. -- Portions of Sedgwick Avenue in Darien will be closed for the next three Saturdays -- Sept. 20, Sept. 27 and Oct. 4 -- from 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for tree removal.

Sedgwick Avenue will be closed between Leroy Avenue and Lakeside Avenue on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27. The road will be closed between Mansfield Avenue and Lakeside Avenue on Oct. 4.

Officers from the Darien Police Department will be deployed to assist motorists and pedestrians in the area. Detour signs will also be in place to assist motorists unfamiliar with alternate routes.
