DARIEN, Conn. – Darien officers were looking for a woman who stole more than $400 worth of ink from a CVS store in town last week, police said.
The theft occurred Nov. 7, according to the police report. A woman walked into the store carrying a black purse but walked out later carrying a multicolored gift bag, according to the store’s surveillance system.
Store employees later discovered that 17 printer ink cartridges, with a total estimated value of $475, were missing from the inventory, police said. The gift bag the woman in the video was seen carrying is stocked in an aisle near the printer ink section, the store told police.
The cartridges were displayed on a secured rack that requires a key to access, and investigators believe the suspect had access to a key, police said.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the Darien Police at 203-663-5300.
