It took the entire shift of officers on duty to break up the fight, which was reported at 3:13 a.m. Saturday, police said.
A 911 call from the boat's security team reported that a large group of people was fighting in the parking lot of Veterans Park, where the boat docks, according to police reports.
Several hundred people were involved in the fight, police said. The fighting eventually broke into about 10 smaller fights and security personnel were unable to handle it, police said.
As officers arrived, people began fleeing when they heard the sirens, according to police reports. No one was arrested in the incident.
This is the second large fight among passengers of the boat in recent months. In late June, police were called to break up a fight that occurred on the boat and in the parking lot after it docked. Nobody was arrested in that incident.
Last week, a Bridgeport man was detained and arrested after police said he tried to bring a gun onto the boat.
"We are working with the mayor's office and the Norwalk Parks and Recreation to put an end to these types of events," said Sgt. Terry Blake, a police spokesman.
