DARIEN, Conn. -- A woman reported that she and her dog were attacked by a pug while walking near the Darien-Stamford border last week, police said.
The 57-year-old Stamford woman was walking her Jack Russell terrier near the intersection of West Avenue and Park Lane when the attack occurred, Darien police said. A small brown pug appeared and started to attack her terrier, who jumped up into her arms, the woman told police said.
The woman sustained three separate scratches on her right leg but did not require medical attention, police said.
The pug was not on a leash or with an owner, the woman told police. The matter has been turned over to the Darien animal control officer, police said.
