At around 2 a.m. a resident of Lanark Road in Stamford heard his dog bark and saw lights from a motion detector go on, which allowed him to see the 16-year-old going through the car and looking through the driveway, the Stamford Advocate reported. The teen then ran away from the home while the resident called police, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Officers arrived in the area and used a K-9 to search for the suspect, who was found hiding in some bushes on Chesterfield Road, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police told the Stamford Advocate that the teen had some change in his bag, which is thought to have been stolen from cars in the area. The teen was charged with criminal trespass and interfering with police, and released to his parents, according to the Stamford Advocate.
