Connecticut State Police at Troop G in Bridgeport responded Jan. 29 to the Dunkin' Donuts in the I-95 northbound service area in Fairfield.

An employee told troopers that a male customer had paid with a suspected counterfeit $20 bill, according to state police.

When troopers arrived, they immediately determined that the first bill was counterfeit, according to state police.

The first suspect was described as a black male in his early 20s, weighing 130 pounds, with dark skin, and a tattoo over his right eye downward on his face, State Police said. He was wearing a burgundy jogging suit with “Rhode Island College” printed on the hooded sweatshirt and a gold-colored winter hat, according to police.

The second suspect was described as a black male in his early 20s, of stockier build, about 5-foot-6, and wearing black pants and a black short-sleeve shirt, police said.
