Thieves Snatch 1,200 Pound Generator From Darien Home

DARIEN, Conn. - A generator worth $10,500  and weighing 1,200 pounds was stolen from a home on Pear Tree Point Road in Darien.

The theft occurred sometime between Christmas and Jan. 9 while the residents were on vacation in Florida, police said. The unit was removed in a very neat and orderly manner with all electrical and gas connections properly disconnected, according to police.
