Diana Parra, 48, of Cavanaugh Street, was charged with third-degree larceny and third-degree forgery in connection with the January 2017 incident, police said.

She was held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 10.

Police said Parra stole six blank checks from the victim’s checkbook and made them out for $16,000 total, depositing them in a bank account unknown to the victim.

Bank surveillance identified Parra as the woman who deposited the check, police said.

She turned herself in on July 27 and was arrested on a warrant, police said.

Parra has been arrested before on similar charges in Westport. In July 2016, police said Parra stole the second-to-last check in one employer’s checkbook, wrote it out for $4,000, forged the victim’s signature and deposited at a Citibank.

Later the same month, Parra was captured on Citibank ATM surveillance footage depositing a second victim’s stolen check for an undisclosed amount, police said.
