Woman Charged With Using Forged Prescriptions In Darien

DARIEN, Conn. ? A Bronx woman has been charged with forging prescriptions at a pharmacy in Darien, according to police.

Bianca Thompson, 22, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant charging her with obtaining a controlled drug by fraud, obtaining a controlled drug by forged prescription and illegal use of a false prescription. She was released on a promise to appear in court on March 1.

Thompson was one of three people arrested in Monroe in June 2011 and charged with fraudulently obtaining oxycodone pills from a Rite Aid in Monroe. During an investigation, Monroe police determined that Thompson might have passed forged prescriptions at Grieb's Pharmacy in Darien, which was on a list of pharmacies in the suspects' possession.

Further investigation allegedly revealed that Thompson had obtained 240 oxycodone tablets at Grieb's on June 13, 2011, using a fake prescription that was not issued by the prescribing physician. She was identified on video from the pharmacy's surveillance system, according to police reports, and a warrant sought for her arrest.
