Melissa Wallace of Locust Valley was observed by a Tokeneke constable traveling down Searles Road. at a high speed, nearly hitting a pedestrian along the road and later reappearing traveling in the wrong lane of traffic, Darien Times reported.
The constable reportedly pulled into a driveway to avoid being hit by the SUV and later stopped the vehicle on Searless near Old Farm Road, said Darien Times.
Wallace allegedly had a blood alcohol content of .299 at the time of her arrest, nearly four times the legal limit of .08, reported Darien Times.
Wallace was released to Stamford Hospital due to her level of intoxication, Darien Times reported.
Police are investigating whether Wallace's vehicle was involved in an accident where an SUV matching the description of her Explorer struck a parked car twice in the Centre St. parking lot, said Darien Times.
