The 141st District is comprised of Darien, and the Rowayton neighborhood of Norwalk. It is currently represented by Rep. Terrie Wood.

“As a small business owner for almost 40 years, I know it’s not enough to just talk about problems, you actually have to do something to solve them. As your state representative, I pledge to be a voice for progress for our district, and prioritize those issues which will make Connecticut an attractive place to start a family and grow a business,” Klein said Tuesday.

Klein emphasized the importance of building a strong infrastructure that would allow economic growth on both the local and statewide level in his acceptance speech on Tuesday.

“Substantial investments are being made to repair our existing roads and rail, but we need to start identifying ways in which we can build a transportation infrastructure that major corporations and small businesses alike look for when they are deciding where to open their doors,” said Klein.

Ed Camacho, chair of the Norwalk DTC, lauded Klein’s vision and fortitude. “In the time I’ve known Randy, I have never failed to be impressed by his business acumen, his dedication to his family, and his steadfast resolve to improving our community,” said Camacho.

State Senator Carlo Leone, who spoke at the convention on Tuesday, shared Camacho’s enthusiasm.

“I’ve worked with Randy for a long time in Darien and have seen him in action,” said Leone. “The phenomenal work he has done as a member of the Darien DTC, and as a small business owner in Norwalk, leaves no doubt in my mind that he would be an effective leader for this district in Hartford.”

Klein lives in Darien with his wife, Evonne. Their three sons all graduated from Darien High School.
