If elected, what would you do to improve roads and trains in Fairfield County?
1. Stop diverting funds from the General Transportation Fund to balance the General Fund budget. The STF funds are meant to fund transportation repairs only and should not be redirected for GF use.
2. Have more Connecticut representation serving on the Metro North Transportation Board.
3. Create more walkable communities in an effort to decouple the car and the economy.
If elected, what is your position on state spending and the state budget?
We spend too much for services that are often not as efficient or effective as they should or could be. We need to keep our infrastructure up to date and safe, and we also, absolutely need to provide an effective safety net for those in need. To create more fiscal balance , we need to make structural changes in how the state delivers services to residents. One aspect will be to address some of the benefits of the public sector unions that are out of line with the private sector.
What is another top issue or priority in your town or district that you would address in office?
I have three legislative priorities in addition to advocating for more fiscal restraint in our state budgets. They are more effective delivery of Special Education services, increasing awareness and access to mental health issues and services and the continued preservation of open space.

Common sense problem solving, an ability to work across the aisle, honest representation by listening and learning and an understanding of balancing priorities with fiscal restraint.
