Police: Greenwich Traffic Stop Turns Up Heroin

GREENWICH, Conn. – A Greenwich man was arrested on drug charges after a car he was riding in was pulled over in Byram and searched, Greenwich police say. 

During the traffic stop, Casey Ritch, 34, of 38 Putnam Green Apt #B, and the driver gave police conflicting stories about their whereabouts. A syringe and four wax paper baggies containing heroin were found in the car, police said. 

Ritch was arrested Dec. 21 on charges of possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 18.

• Marvin Yovani Arias-Juarez, 37, of 1 Lawrence St. in Norwalk, was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer for giving a fake name and identification to police during a motor vehicle stop, police said. He was released on a $500 bond and is due in court on Jan. 4.
