Lodi narcotics detectives seize BMW, wide-screen TVs, sports memorabilia in drug raid

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Lodi narcotics detectives ended a two-week investigation with the arrest of a local man and the seizure of heroin, pot and pills — along with two 60-inch TVs, a 2002 BMW, sports memorabilia and $5,242 in alleged proceeds.

Jonathan Cruz, 31, was being held in the Bergen County Jail on $25,000 bail, charged with various drug counts, after yesterday’s warranted raid.

“During the two-week surveillance detectives observed several narcotic transactions,” Detective Capt. Donald Scorzetti said ths morning.

The subsquent search of Cruz’s Church Street apartment turned up 30 bags of heroin, a small amount of pot, 3 Percocet pills without a prescription and packaging materials that included glassine envelopes and a measuring scale and metal strainer, both with drug residue, Scorzetti said.
