Michael Finnery, 52, of East Orange had his window down when he rolled his 2009 Dodge sedan through the toll booth without paying around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

As a PAPD officer walked toward him, Finnery gunned it, and the sedan slammed into the divider, Pentangelo said.

He tried to keep going but hit backed-up Cross Bronx Expressway traffic, he said.

Finnery was charged with toll evasion, eluding and reckless driving and also received traffic summonses before being released.
