DARIEN, Conn. – The Royle Elementary School and Atria Darien communities recently completed the “Rally for Royle” literacy and fundraising effort.
Senior citizens at Atria Darien and Royle students, families, teachers and staff members, had a goal of reading 350,000 minutes between Oct. 1 and 14. The fundraiser, in its second year, raised $25,000 for special enrichment programs at Royle.
“This is such a wonderful program to have here at Atria,” said Becky Gallucci, engage life director at Atria, in a press release.
“Our residents love working with the students for such a worthwhile goal.”
