Darien High School musicians Katie Critelli and Danielle Tillford were selected to perform in the MENC All-Eastern Division Honors Ensembles. The two were among a small number of students from Connecticut selected to go to the Eastern Division Music Conference in Baltimore from March 31 to April 3. Nationally recognized conductors led the musicians.
Rick Sadlon, director of music for Darien Schools, said, "This is one of the highest achievements that can be awarded to high school musicians, and we are very fortunate and proud to have two students from Darien participate in these national level ensembles."
Critelli, a harpist, played with the All-Eastern Honors Wind Ensemble and Tillford, a French horn player, performed with the All-Eastern Honors Orchestra.
