Fairfield High Schools Among Nation's Best In Latest Newsweek Rankings

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Three Fairfield County high schools were ranked among the best in the nation, according to Newsweek, in a story released this week.

Weston High was the top high school in Connecticut, ranking 47th overall. The school boasts a 100 percent graduation rate with 97.2 percent going on to college.

Staples High School was ranked the 63rd high school in the nation.

Staples boasted a graduation rate of 99.8 percent with 93.2 percent of its graduates bound for college. The survey also said 86.2 percent of students were ready for college upon graduation. 

Ridgefield High also made the list at No. 119.

The top overall designation went to Thomas Jefferson High School in Virginia.
