Power Restored To Royle Elementary School In Darien

DARIEN, Conn. - Power has been restored to Royle Elementary School in Darien after being knocked out Wednesday morning. All phones and email are operating.

All other power outages in Darien have been restored, CL&P reports.

DARIEN, Conn. ‒ Power was out at Royle Elementary School in Darien Wednesday morning, Principal Keith Margolus announced.

Students were able to continue working, but parents will not be able to contact the school by phone or email until power is restored, Margolus said. Also, the school will not receive messages about changes in dismissal until power is restored, Margolus said. Students who ordered lunch will have the choice of a sandwich or a bagel.

Wednesday's weather had knocked out power to 263 CL&P customers in Darien as of 11:45 a.m. This represented 3 percent of all customers in town.
