In the program, children are dropped off for two hours to enjoy stories, music, an art project, free play and a snack, all in a classroom setting. Each class has no more than eight students, and is taught by experienced teachers.
Toddler Time is the first formal type of education for a number of children. The activities are designed to help children develop emotionally, physically, socially and cognitively. Other goasl iare to make the children feel safe and competent and to boost their self-esteem.
Toddler Time will run from September 2014 through May 2015. Children may be enrolled for one, two or three days per week. In order to attend, a child must turn two before Dec. 31, 2014. The program is open to the public, but space is limited.
