Players in the Darien Little League Challenger program wrapped up their winter season with a trophy presentation and clinic at Town Hall. League commission and co-founder Charlie Santos-Buch distributed trophies to 24 players.
The program enables physically and mentally challenged youths to participate in an athletic environment suited to their abilities. The athletes are assisted by "buddies," who become their personal guides. They provide varying degrees of support. The program serves children in Darien and New Canaan ages 5 to 18.
