Darien 7th Grade Teams Share Title In Fairfield County Football League

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Junior Football League Blue and Wave teams were named co-champions after both teams won their semifinal games in the Fairfield County Football League.

The Blue team finished 8-2. It won a share of the league title with a 21-0 win over Westport in the semifinals.

The Wave finished 6-4, and finished the season with a 40-27 win over Wilton in the semifinals.

Darien Wave coaches are Kevin Minicus, Rhett Hancock, Andy Tomasello and Chris Browning. 7th Grade Wave players are: Harrison Bell, Kyle Bloomer, Charlie Browning, Brady Campbell, Tighe Cumminsky, Alexander Domittner, Miles Drake, David Evanchick, Andrew Fiorenza, Charlie Grunow, Beau Hancock, Jaylen Lesperance, Reed Levinson, Matthew Minicus, Dashell Scura, Levi Steadman, James Tomasello, Jake Vairo and Jack Zuro.

Darien Blue coaches are Joel Schutzman, Clint Hall, Paul Quick, Kody Schutzman and Connor Sullivan. Players are Christian Alliegro, Rocco Carlo, Joe Cesare, Karson Drake, Reed Falkenrath, James Galvin, Duke Hagen, Hudson Hearle, Ryan Johnson, Jahmal Marajah, Brian Martin, Connor Palen, Austin Peck, Holeman Pride, Sean Quick, Jesse Schutzman, Matthew Taylor, Rafe Van Wagenen and Ryan Walter.
