With a record of 14-1-5 in regular season play, securing the East Division champion title, the Darien Blue Wave rolled on to make DHS history--becoming the school’s first boys soccer team to reach the FCIAC finals.
Continuing to make history, the 11th ranked Blue Wave qualified for the State Championship semi-finals by defeating third ranked Fairfield Prep (1-0), and qualified on Tuesday for the finals by defeating seventh ranked Farmington (1-0).
The Darien community is requested to come out en masse and support coach Jon Bradley and his history-making team at the State Class LL championship game to be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m., at West Haven High School (1 McDonough Plaza, West Haven).
A bus will be available for Darien High School students. Students may sign up in the DHS Athletic Director’s office and must have a signed permission slip. Students must ride the bus both to and from the event.
The bus will depart DHS on Saturday, Nov. 21st at 11:30 a.m and return after the game. CIAC game entrance fees are $5 for students, and $10 for adults.
