Darien Youth Baseball and Softball collected 888 over the course of the 2013 season and are set to donate them to Pitch in for Baseball, an organization that donates to youth baseball teams in need all over the world.

The uniforms will be sent to youth teams in Colombia.

Since 2009, the Darien Little League has donated close to 4000 jerseys to underprivileged communities throughout the world.

"Kids all over the world enjoy the game of baseball," the Pitch in for Baseball website reads. "And through Pitch In For Baseball, even kids in impoverished communities can get the chance to play this wonderful game."
