St. Jean competed in the Women 40-49 race and won with a mile time of 5:06. The finishing time placed her 21st out of 2,881 female runners across all age groups in the race.
Celebrating its 35th year, the 5th Avenue Mile brought more than 6,000 runners across all ages to compete over 20 blocks of New York City streets Sunday. The day of races began with age group miles, followed by specialty races and a youth mile. The event concluded with two races featuring professional athletes from all around the world.
It's been a successful season for St. Jean. In August she won the silver medal at the World Masters Track and Field Championships in Lyon, France.
