DARIEN, Conn. ? The conference tournaments are in the books, with Darien High School bringing home its 11th straight girls volleyball championship. The Blue Wave was well-represented throughout the conference playoffs. Now the varsity teams are looking ahead to the state playoffs.
The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference released the brackets for boys soccer, girls soccer, field hockey and girls volleyball today. The girls soccer tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 10, while the field hockey and boys soccer tournaments get underway Friday, Nov. 11. Darien earned a first-round bye in the girls volleyball tournament.
Here is a look at the schedule for the Darien High School varsity teams. All listed games will be played at Darien High School. Times are subject to change. Click on the team names to view the full tournament bracket.
Thursday, Nov. 10
#16 Girls Soccer Team vs. #17 Fairfield Warde, 1st Round Class LL Tournament, 2 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 11
#1 Field Hockey Team vs. Winner of E.O. Smith/Pomperaug Play-In Game, 1st Round Class M Tournament, 2 p.m.
#5 Boys Soccer Team vs. #28 North Haven, 1st Round Class L Tournament, 2 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 12
#1 Girls Volleyball Team vs. TBD, 2nd Round Class LL Tournament, 4:30 p.m.
